Each typeface builds on a historical reference, like GD Trio from the Trajan inscription and GD Bauer from 19th century serifs, plus GD Unio, a uniwidth UI font. It offers free trials, one license by company size and bespoke type.

Its Site of the Day shows which fonts a well-designed website uses, and its 1,000+ font pages include examples in use and suggested pairings. It holds 1,307 sketches, from pencil warmups to client work, browsable by year, tag, search or at random.

It has curated collections, browse-by-shoot and a free research service that finds clips from your brief. Licenses are per clip, from $109 for internal use and $219 for web and social.
- [Flim is the reference library that ends the screenshot hunt](https://stash.cool/articles/flim/): Flim is a search engine for visual references from films, TV series, ads and music videos, with more than 1.5 million stills and 400,000 video clips. You search in plain words or by image, save frames to shareable Boards, and on paid plans use AI tools like Magic Boards. There's a free plan, with Basic at €14.90 and Pro at €34.90 a month.
- [LiveSurface makes your mockups look like they were actually made](https://stash.cool/articles/livesurface/): LiveSurface is a mockup app that turns photographs into 3D-aware surfaces using a patented method, so your artwork wraps, reflects and casts shadows realistically. You can set materials like foil, emboss, varnish and glow with simple sliders. It runs on macOS, iPadOS and visionOS, costs $18 a month or $172 a year, and was founded in 2005 by designer Joshua Distler.
- [Destockd hands public domain footage back to the public](https://stash.cool/articles/destockd/): Destockd is a free archive of more than 41,000 public domain and unrestricted shots from U.S. government films in the FedFlix archive. Instead of keywords, it uses CLIP-powered visual search, so you describe what you want to see. It was built by YouTuber Elroddd, who launched it in September 2026.
- [Momentum makes your static work move without learning animation](https://stash.cool/articles/momentum/): Momentum is a browser tool from Uninspired Studio that turns static images into motion graphics using presets. You pick a Carousel, Mask or Instant preset, add your visuals, adjust direction, timing, transition and hold, then export MP4 or WebM in 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9. Some presets are free; premium ones cost €7 to €9, paid once.
- [Hiring shouldn't come down to who you know](https://stash.cool/articles/black-creative-network/): Black Creative Network is a curated directory of Black creatives worldwide, including designers, directors, photographers, writers, strategists and producers, browsable by field and city. Founded by Thabiso Junior Ntuli, it also publishes interviews and creative news. Profiles are free, with a $7 a month Network+ tier for more features.
- [It's Nice That is still the best way to start a creative day](https://stash.cool/articles/its-nice-that/): It's Nice That is a London-based online publication covering graphic design, illustration, photography, animation, art and more. Founded in 2007, it reaches over 8 million readers a month and is known for spotting emerging creatives early. It's part of Residence, alongside Creative Lives in Progress and the If You Could Jobs board.
- [Jitter is the motion tool for people who don't do motion](https://stash.cool/articles/jitter/): Jitter is a motion design tool that runs in your browser. You import frames from Figma, animate them on a timeline or start from 400+ free templates, then export to video, GIF or Lottie. It suits everyday motion work like social posts, product demos and UI transitions, not heavy compositing or character animation.
